Introduction
Course structure
This qualification comprises both theory and practical elements. The theory part of the qualification is completed as home-study making this an ideal route for those who wish to study flexibly around other commitments. This includes knowledge testing quizzes.
At the time of enrolment on your qualification, you will have access to your study materials (including: manual, power point presentations, worksheets and our Student Handbook). Once you have completed all theory coursework and it has been submitted and marked by an assessor, you will arrange to attend 1 practical training day to achieve your qualification. You will have your skills assessed in a real working environment within our academy and will complete a minimum of 3 case studies at this time.
When you have successfully completed your training course you will receive a diploma certificate issued by The Beacon Academy. This not only demonstrates your commitment to the training, but also allows you to obtain Public Liability Insurance so you can start offering treatments to paying clients from home and/or mobile.
Course benefits
Today’s client is seeking affordable skin rejuvenation treatments with little or no downtime. Chemical peels offer this with very little cost to the practitioner and clients will return approximately every 4 weeks for treatment. The benefits of the treatment include improvement in skin texture and tone and reduced appearance of pores. It can be used on all skin types and is more affordable for your client and with less downtime than other modalities. Your client will notice a brighter complexion with reduced appearance of fine lines and pigmentation spots. It’s also an excellent solution for post acne scarring with clients committing to a course of treatments. Chemical peels prove to work well when combined with other modalities such as IPL and chemical peels.
