Introduction
If you are looking to embark on a career as a therapist specialising in advanced facial treatments, our VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Microdermabrasion is designed to equip you with the knowledge, practical skills and industry-required qualification to be able do this with confidence. It is an excellent follow-on course for those who have already completed VTCT Level 2 in Facials or indeed Level 2 in Beauty Therapy and are looking to take their knowledge of skincare treatments to the next level.
Our VTCT qualifications are world class and recognised across the UK, Ireland, and internationally and is regulated by national organisations including Ofqual, SQA, DfES and CCEA.
Course structure
This qualification comprises both theory and practical elements. The theory part of the qualification is completed as home-study making this an ideal route for those who wish to study flexibly around other commitments. This includes written assignments and knowledge testing quizzes as required by the awarding body VTCT.
At the time of enrolment on your qualification, you will have access to your study materials (including: manual, power point presentations, worksheets and our Student Handbook). Once you have completed all theory coursework and it has been submitted and marked by an assessor, you will arrange to attend 1 practical assessment day to achieve your VTCT qualification. This will run from 10am – 4pm. There will be a quick re-cap on the theory you have studied at home to confirm knowledge and answer any questions however the majority of the training day will be spent acquiring and demonstrating your practical skills.
We can then arrange a further multiple choice written assessment day, consisting of 1Â multiple choice paper. A 70% pass rate much be achieved.
Once you have completed your assessment day and deemed to be competent you will receive an ABT accredited certificate from the Beacon Academy to allow you to obtain Public Liability Insurance so you can start offering treatments to paying clients from home and/or in employment. Â You will then receive your VTCT qualification certificate (this can take up to 12 weeks to be released from the awarding body VTCT).
